Alexis Morante was born in Spain and would go on to graduate from Cadiz's University in Spain with extraordinary award’s best outstanding record. He went on to study film in Sweden and Cuba (San Antonio de los Baños School) before achieving the Talentia Scholarship, which provided him the opportunity to complete a two years MFA program in filmmaking in New York and Los Angeles. He is based between Los Angeles and Andalusia, Spain.

He is an award-winning film, music video and commercial director, whose work has been nominated there times for a Goya Award (Spanish Academy Awards), Platino Award (Latin Academy Awards) and for a Latin Grammy Awards, winning a Latin Grammy award for Best Music Film in 2019. His work has won more than 100 international awards, has been officially selected for more than 300 international film festivals, and he has been awarded the New Talent FNAC in the prestigious Spanish Film Fest of Malaga, twice.

In film, he has 7-awarded short films (including Spanish Academy Goya nomination, Best short film in Recent Spanish Cinema Series in Los Angeles and Clermont-Ferrand) and he has directed and written 4 feature music documentaries theatrically released in more than 15 countries: Bunbury: El Camino más Largo’ with International distribution by ‘Eagle Rock Entertainment’; Camarón: Flamenco y Revolución’  co-produced by Canal Sur and Mediaevents, released in more than 90 theatres in Spain, with unanimous critics and audience success in Málaga Festival, nominated for Goya Awards and Platino Awards, and recently premiered Internationally in Netflix; co-directing ‘Sanz: lo que fui es lo que soy.’, the definite documentary about Latin Superstar Alejandro Sanz, produced by Telecinco Cinema and Sacromonte Films, theatrical released in Spain and Latin America, reaching the Top Ten in its first week, and also acquired by International media center Netflix and winner fo Best Music Film of the Year in 2020 Latin Grammy Awards; and ‘Heroes: Silence and Rock&Roll’, a documentary about the biggest rock band in Spanish of all time, premiered internationally and exclusively by Netflix, reaching the Top 10 in Spain and Latin America.

He is founder and co-director of 700G Films and Nowadays Alexis Morante has premiered in theatrical-released his first fictional feature film ‘El Universo de Óliver’ produced by Pecado Films and La Claqueta PC, co-produced by RTVE and Europe Media, with International distribution of Filmax Entertainment. Besides, Alexis Morante just finished shooting in Caribbean and USA the fictional biopic about urban music superstar Ozuna.
